Obituary for Bennie Gray
Bennie Gray Jr. was born on December 10th, 1935. The first child of Mabel and Bennie Gray Sr. in Shelby, North Carolina.
He received his primary education in All Saints Catholic School. Went on to continue his education in Machine Metals High School all were located in the New York City area.
He worked as a longshoreman for a period of time and then became a school bus driver for the New York City Board Of Education.
In 1958 he became the proud father of Jeffrey Goody Gray, brother Bennie had 1 brother Gene and 2 sisters Bessie Mae and Jeanette that preceded him in death.
Brother Bennie met many obstacles but because of his strong belief in God he overcame many trials and tribulations and then he was dedicated to sharing his experiences, strength and hope with others.
Brother Bennie departed this life on Saturday July 5th, 2014 at 8:50p.m., where he was being cared for at West Lawrence Cave Center in Far Rockaway, New York.
He leaves to mourn his son Jeffrey, 1 sister Theresa, 1 brother Carry and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Sleep now rest now your journey is over, your work is through and there is nothing else for you to do. We will see you in the sweet by and by.
