Russell "Yank"  Jackson
Russell Jackson the son of the late Perry Jackson and Mary E. Dixon was born February 6, 1940. The Lord called Russell to his eternal rest July 9, 2014 at Jamaica hospital after he had succumbed to an extended illness. Russell Jackson was reared in Aiken, South Carolina. It was there in Aiken Russell earned his endearing nick name “Yank” by his siblings because he loved to eat the crust left in the bottom of the pot from his mother’s southern rice recipe.

In the year 1969 as a young man Russell relocated to New York City. It was there Russell met and married his only true love Amanda Harvey. Russell and Amanda wed in 1972. In 1977 Following Russell and Amanda nuptials their first child Russell Jackson Jr. was born. Thereafter in 1980 Russell and Amanda were blessed with a second child, Kevin Jackson.

Russell leaves to mourn his wife of 42 years Amanda D. Jackson, 2 sons Kevin and Russell Jr., Grandchildren Darnisha, Carmen and Russell Jackson along with a host of family and friends.
