Debora L.  Konguep
Debora L. Konguep was born in Jamaica, Queens on September 25, 1965 to Freddie Lee Matthews and the late Mabel Matthews. She was the first of two children.

Debora graduated John Adams High School and after pursued a career in nursing. During her pursuit she was blessed with two children Laquean Matthews and Shaquanna Peoples. She met and married Victor Konguep in 1990 and from this union she was blessed with her third child Lollanda Konguep. She loved her husband very much and committed 24 beautiful years to him.

Debora was energetic and full of life. She loved dancing, and she loved traveling around the country. During her relaxation time you could find her reading or doing a crossword puzzle. She loved her entire family dearly never forgetting anyone’s birthday.

Debora joined The Lighthouse Church in Astoria, Queens in 2008 where she was baptized for the remission of her sins. She loved attending service and praising the Lord.

In 2013, Debora was faced with a life changing health issue through her strong faith, many prayers and the grace of God she fought the good fight of faith to the bitter end. On August 21, 2014 the heavens opened up and a voice replied, “Well done thy good and faithful servant, come and take rest from your labor and pain”.

Debora leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Victor Konguep, three children, Laquean Matthews, Shaquanna Peoples, and Lollanda Konguep, one grandchild, Lamyra Matthews, one sister, Marlene Matthews, two nephews, Keshawn and Edtwan, four nieces, Edmeisha, Elisha, Destiny, and Shadaia, two great nieces, Neaveh, and Keyanna, one great nephew Marquise and a host of relatives and friends.

Debora L. Konguep rest in peace, we love you and we will miss you every day you are gone. We will meet again.
