Obituary for Arthur N. Jackson

Arthur N. Jackson
Arthur Nathaniel Jackson was born on August 20, 1929 in Dalzell, South Carolina to Joe Jackson and Harriett Knox. He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. Arthur began his family life in Brooklyn, New York.

Arthur was blessed with nine children; Barbara Ann, Franklin, Hattie Mae, Yvonne, Arthur James, Denise, Annette, Karen and Joseph. After the death of hi wife Gloria, he endured the hardship of raising five of his youngest children. Even with the help of family and friends, it was far from easy.

He worked hard to support his children and supported them well into their adulthood. Arthur was a man that did not quit. Arthur was proceeded in death by his two children, Barbara Ann and Franklin. He adopted his grandson Maxwell and gave Max the same love and support that he gave all of his children. He still did not quit. Arthur’s life was filled with accomplishments, his was a life to be very proud of. He was a man to be proud of.

Arthur Nathaniel Jackson is survived by one brother Harris Jackson, eight of his children and a host of grand and great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He will always be loved and remembered by all of us.

We will never forget all the great things he did for us.
