Obituary for Maureen Boters

Maureen  Boters
Maureen Boters was born on the 8th August 1951 in the North West District of Guyana. She grew up in a family which comprised her dad, mom, three brothers and four sisters. Maureen had her early education at St Dominic Elementary Catholic School. She lost her parents at a tender age and moved to Georgetown the Capital of Guyana. She was raised by her sister as she continued her education.

In 1964 Maureen met her future husband Eric Boters and they got married on the 21st of February 1970 according to catholic rights. This union bore three children Eric {junior} deceased, Wayne, Amanda and she also had adopted Eric {Anthony} and Masasha Boters. Maureen was always loving, caring and supportive of her husband, children, grandchildren, relatives and friends. She’s known by many to always wear a smile and lend a helping hand.

She was a devout Catholic who worshiped at Brickdam Cathedral, Georgetown Guyana for many years and for the past few years she worshiped at St. Pius X Catholic Church in South Georgetown. At the latter church she was a member of the Ladies of Charity Group, where she would always contribute to the activities of the church. Maureen would also contribute to charity orphanages such as Joshua Home, St. Ann’s and St. Johns.

In 2012 Maureen Boters was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and further immigrated to the United States in 2013 where she seek medical treatment and succumbed to the illness on the 24th of January, 2015 at Hillside Manor, New York.
