77 year old Charles Emmanuel Keesley’s spirit released to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 while he was a resident at Silvercrest Nursing Facility in Queens, New York. Charles was a long time resident of Queens, New York.

Charles was born in Anderson County, South Carolina to Bertha Keesley. He was the oldest boy of 6 children. Charles attended Riverside High School.
After becoming an adult Charles married Margaret Hagood and ventured to New York to raise his family. From this union 4 children were born. Charles supported his family working as a Steel Worker at the Brooklyn Steel Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York. Charles later retired after over 30 years of service.

Charles leaves to mourn his mother Bertha McDowell and children Timothy (Regina) of Queens, New York. Terry (Clarissa) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Charlena of Queens, New York. He also leaves 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and one sister Doris of New Haven, Connecticut and a host of nephews and nieces.

Charles is predeceased by his daughter Janice Keesley-Capers (Horace), his grandson Michael “Poochie” Keesley, and siblings J.C., Arthur “Fuddy”, Desimae, and Dinah and Joc.
