Gwendolyn Ann  Johnson
Gwendolyn Ann Johnson was born November 16, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY to proud parents, John O. Pearson and the late Annie Mae Pearson. 

She received her high-school diploma in 1974 from John Bowne High School, then later received her Associates Degree in Applied Science in 1976 from the Fashion Institute of Technology, SUNY;  majoring in apparel design and specializing in children's wear. Gwendolyn was a dedicated member of Bibleway Church, where she received  her Holy Ghost Certificate  by Pastor  Elder Jesse C. Davenport on Oct. 4, 1984. She was very active in the church and was a part of the choir there.

On September 20, 1980 Gwendolyn was united in marriage to Hamp Johnson at Kelly Temple Church of God in Christ. This blessed union would produce two beautiful children, a son, Trecell and a daughter, Shatara. Gwendolyn was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, on July 8, 1987. She put up a strong fight for 28 years, battling against her medical condition.

On November 21, 2015 Gwen was called home and set free from M.S. Gwendolyn leaves behind her love, her strength,  her teachings and any memories to her husband Hamp Johnson of Hudson NY, son Trecell Johnson  and daughter  Shatara Johnson of Queens NY, father John O. Pearson of Queens NY, sister Deloris  Glenn of Piscataway NJ,  brother John E. Pearson of Queens NY, granddaughter Tiala Johnson of Queens NY, two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, four nieces, one nephew, two grand-nephews,  four grand-nieces and a host of cousins and many friends.
