Dolphus Lee  Hickson
Safe in the arms of our almighty God, Adolphus quietly and peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday June 5, 2016 at his home. God released him from pain and suffering to enter into a realm of peace and joy.

Adolphus was born on August 28, 1928 in Aiken, South Carolina to the late Enouch and Sally Hickson. He was one of twelve (12) children and a twin. Three (3) brothers and six (6) sisters who preceded him in death. His one and only son, Michael also preceded him in death.

Adolphus received his early education from the school system in Aiken and graduated from Scofield High School in Aiken, South Carolina.

After High School he decided relocate to Queens, New York for a better life. Adolphus worked at the Embassy Custom Car dealership as well as owning a upholstery specialty business. He was an avid fisherman and loved all types of sports.

Adolphus joined Bethany Baptist Church of Jamaica shortly after relocating to Queens, where he was a faithful and dedicated member until his passing.

Adolphus leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 43 years; Evelyn Wade Hickson, daughter; Jacqueline Hickson, brother; Norman, twin sister; Dorothy Miller, Charlotte, North Carolina. Two (2) grandchildren; Ericka Scott-Richardson & Iesha Hickson. Three (3) great grandchildren; Andre Monte Scott, Briana Michele Scott & Paige Madison Blair. One (1) Great-great grandchild Elijah Scott. Step-daughter Cheryl Wade, and a host of other family members and friends.
