Obituary for Tokyo

Tokyo
Vernol Anderson fondly known to us and every one as “Tokyo” was born June 1, 1939 to his parents George Anderson and Inez Clark (deceased), in Jamaica, West Indies. He was the oldest ten siblings.

Later than, Tokyo married his beautiful wife of 26 years Cheryl Anderson who brought into the world his youngest daughter Mia Anderson whom he adored.

Coming from Kingston, Jamaica, Tokyo learned the restaurant business from his mother, and attended a trade school for carpentry. He launched several successful establishments, and one of them was a club called “Tokyo’s”. He was a persistent hard worker. Tokyo was a great man because he was a God fearing man who stood up for what was right. A humanitarian and an entrepreneur who was a pillar of his community. He made a lot of friends who loved and respected him.

Tokyo had a great sense of humor. He was a father who loved all of his children, and his family. He was easy to approach and you could confide in him, but he was a no nonsense man with a big heart. Tokyo taught us how to have courage while enduring the good fight in which we all will have to go through in life’s life. We will miss you and you will be remembered in our hearts forever. Peace be your journey.

He joins in heaven his mother, Inez Clark, one son, Paul Anderson & one brother, Seymour.

Tokyo leaves to mourn: his wife, Cheryl Anderson; his sons, Michael Anderson & Steve Anderson; his daughters, Jacquelyn Anderson, (Nicky) Anderson, Imani and his baby girl Mia Anderson; three brothers, Derrick, Marcus, and Andrew; five sisters Madge, Fay, Precious, Carol and Gean; he leaves 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
