Obituary for Vivian L "Boobie" Donigan

Vivian L "Boobie" Donigan
Vivian L. “Boobie” Donigan of Far Rockaway, Queens was born on June 14th 1959 to the late Carroll Donigan Sr. and Virginia Donigan (Jackson) in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was the eldest of seven children. Vivian was raised in Jamaica, Queens and attended the New York City public school system.

Vivian was outgoing and was well-liked by everyone. Her character delineated who she was and where she came from. She is fondly known by most as “Boobie,” a nickname given to her by a caregiver at an early age, which remained with her throughout her life. She aspired to cooking, music, and dancing. She would always carry a small portable radio so she could listen to her music wherever she goes “turn up.” Moreover, she loved to go fishing with her friends, as well as she relished upon playing those “scratch off” games, where at times she would win big.

Vivian was an avid church goer, who grasped what the lord values. She loved to go to church with her brother Eric Donigan whenever he was in town, and they would attend service at Allen A.M.E. church.

As she enters into her new home in heaven, she will be welcomed by those who predeceased her, father Carroll Donigan Sr., her brother Carroll Donigan, aunt Mae Jackson-Vandergrift, cousin Robert Lee Jackson, and nephew Niheen Donigan.
On this side she leaves to cherish her memories, her loving mother Virginia Donigan (Jackson), four sisters Brenda Donigan of Queens, New York, Viola Donigan Belt (Troy Belt), of Hazelton Pennsylvania, Denise Neely of Hollis, New York, Monique Donigan (Mateen Kane) of Massapequa, New York, one brother Eric Donigan (Elaine Donigan) of Alexander, Virginia, 9 nephews Nelson Donigan (Lashawn Donigan), Rhamell Donigan, Shamel Donigan, Kareem Donigan, Troy Belt Jr., Terrence Belt, Nazih Neely, Eric King, Eric Smith, 5 nieces, Tanisha Simmons-Smith, Toyla Donigan, Teresa Belt, Shamieka Donigan, and Brianna Donigan. Along with two close friends Charlie, and Pat, as well as a host of cousins, friends, and other relatives.
