Obituary for Sis. Eunice Iona Greene

Sis. Eunice Iona Greene
What a Beautiful Person…. “Beloved let us love one another because love is from God, everyone who loves is born of God and knows God…” Eunice demonstrated this love in her life; she was pleasant and soft spoken. Sis. Eunice became a member of the Christadelphian Church back in Guyana, and was baptized August 1966.

One of the things she will be remembered for is the delicious “Mittai” she made and shared with Brethren and Sisters.

She is a testimony to me of a person who in her way of life reveals the portrait of a Christian woman – always quiet, unassuming and busily getting about her activities in an efficient manner. Together with her late husband and our brother, Claud, as his helpmeet, they both jointly dedicated their time and resources toward doing what they could in helping to bear burdens of those in need.

When Sis. Eunice could no longer make it out to Church, she had a Canadian team (Bro. Vernon Barrow, Sis. Esther Worrell and Sis. Bernice Rodney) ministering to her daily and weekly over the phone. She was always ready and willing to participate in the scriptural studies. It was during this time that it was discovered her favorite hymn was 171: “Through all the changing scenes of life….”

Sis. Eunice now lies asleep awaiting a glorious resurrection for which she so earnestly hoped at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
