Obituary for Beulah Williams

Beulah Williams
Beulah Williams was born on June 30, 1934 to Doris and Allen Wilson, from Grenada and Barbados, respectively. She was the youngest of four children. Her siblings, Ethel, Marlene and Ernest preceded her in death.

She was baptized in 1969 in the Jamaica Christadelphian Ecclesia, where she developed a strong relationship with GOD. She attended Woodrow Wilson Vocational High School in Jamaica, Queens. She worked at Con Edison as a stenographer and later at Metropolitan Life insurance company as a part-time transcriber.,

She married James Williams in June of 1957 and from that union they had four children.

She worked at Metropolitan Life insurance company as a part-time transcriber. She was a stay at home mom for several years, and she volunteered at head-start program until she received a full-time job at Montauk NAACP Daycare Center as a bookkeeper, in 1973. She later worked for Starlight Daycare Center and Amistad Daycare Center, in the same capacity. She stayed in Daycare for 23 years, until she retired.

Her faith in God was real and she prayed daily, not only for herself but for others. She was a great listener and when she gave advice it was spot on. She never yelled or raised her voice and she had such a peaceful and calm spirit which drew people to her. Many people viewed her as a mother figure and a friend.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories and continue her legacy of love and compassion, three daughters, Mona, Donna and Lisa, one son Robert, seven Grandchildren, Medina, Omar, Maximilian, Devin, Kyle, Elijah and Lana, her future granddaughter-in-law, Jourdan, sister-in laws, brother-in laws, nieces, nephews, and countless family and friends.

GOD bless the aides who cared for Beulah over the years, you put a smile on her face and took GREAT care of her. A special thanks to: Mytrice, Marie, Mary, Pearline, Joyce, Sandy, Vannette/Hazel and Veronica for making her comfortable at home.
