David was a proud son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who passed away on Friday February 17, 2017. He was born to Douglas McDougal and Hazel McEachin on Friday January 15, 1954 where he grew up alongside his older brother Joseph in Red Springs, North Carolina.
After moving to New York, David met and fell in love with Patricia Mumford, the mother of his 3 daughters Leslie Angela, Pamela Yvonne and Cheryl Lynn. Years later he was fortunate enough to meet his 6 grandchildren. 3 more blushing girls Lashae, Natalia and A'Janae and 3 bouncing boys Kyle, Jaevion and Wyatt, all whom adored their "Pop Pop".
David Leslie McEachin was a man who lived every minute in every day of his life to the fullest. He had a unique sense of humor that could bring a smile or laugh to any face he encountered. He spent most of his time with his loving friends in Bayside or Brooklyn playing card games, dominoes and telling jokes. The only thing
David loved to do more than that was drive. Anything that had 4 wheels was his motto, and rightfully so since he traveled through boroughs, states and cities to spend time and keep in touch with his best friend.... his mom.
David is survived by his mother Hazel, brother Joseph, nieces Tara and Bridgit, nephews Joseph Jr., Treyez, and Derrick, daughters Leslie, Pamela and Cheryl, sons in law Bryan Beacom and Richard Howard, grandchildren Lashae, Natalia, Kyle, A'Janae, Jaevion and Wyatt, along with countless cousins and beloved friends.
