Linda Marie Green was born June 26, 1952'to Leonia Williams Green and Ernest Rogers, Sr. at Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Linda Marie Green Graduated from Rosa A. Temple High School in Vicksburg, Mississippi where she was the first female drummer in the school. A feat that she was very proud of. She moved to New York City in the early 1970s.
In the 1980s, Linda became a NYC Department of Corrections Officer who had worked at Riker's Island. She was tasked with supervising activities of the incarcerated. Helping to resolve conflicts and problems that may have arisen, supervising visits, conducting searches and looking after the constant care and needs of those behind bars.
She was an avid Softball player who had been in a Woman's Softball League in both Mississippi and in New York City as well. Her love for the Sport was something she always enjoyed.
She was a good Singer and always on occasion would break out in song. She had a love of music especially the love of Earth, Wind, and Fire.
She moved to San Bernardino, California around 2006 to take care of her Elderly Mother Leonia and her sick Brother "Mickey."
In 2013 at the age of 61, after the deaths of both her Mother Leonia and Brother Mickey, Linda moved back to New York City a place that she loved and had many fond memories.
Linda Marie Green was a Spiritual person and was involved in her Church Activities.
On Monday, February 20, 2017 she passed away at her home.
Her Siblings Howard Green Jr., Charlie J. Green, Lillie (Green) Dillard, Jesse Charles Green (Mickey), preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister Artee Terry Lesane of Greensboro, NC & her Brother Ernest Rogers Jr. of Queens, NY and numerous Nieces and Nephews, Cousins and other Relatives and Friends.
