WINSTON AUGUSTUS TOMLINSON was born on October 22, 1953 in Manhattan, New York to Madeline and Leopold Tomlinson. He was educated in the Brooklyn School System.

WINSTON was employed by the New York Transit Authority where he worked diligently for over 20 years. He was a Conductor and Construction Flagger and promoted to an Assistant Train Dispatcher and retired February 3, 2017. While working at the Transit Authority he met his sweetheart Maria Rivera, whom he married in 2005.

WINSTON had a melodious singing voice and would break out in song at a moment’s notice. Caring, generous, and quick-witted WINSTON was a silky smooth dancer and always the life of the party. He was widely known as ‘Old G’ and the ‘Peace Maker.’ He also enjoyed playing and watching basketball games listening to music and having fun with friends and family.

God saw the need in His infinite wisdom to call WINSTON from earth to glory on Monday, March 20, 2019. His family and friends will miss him immensely. WINSTON was preceded in death by Madeline Tomlinson (Mother), Leopold Augustus Tomlinson (Father), Leopold Jr. (Brother), Milton Tomlinson (Brother), Ken Tomlinson (Brother)

WINSTON’S treasured memories will not be forgotten by: his wife, Maria Tomlinson of Jamaica, NY; daughter, Wynette Tomlinson- Beaumont (Leonard); step-son, Saquan Gelver (Cathy); step-daughters, Vaniqua Barnes (Aaron), India Hart; sisters: Linda, Carolyn, Elease, Annette, brothers: Roy, Bobby; grandchildren: Kiazah Tomlinson, Kimari, Kyler, Kaelani Beaumont, Carly Maria, Breeanah Jaryline Gelzer, Jaynique, Arianna, Ayana Barnes, Jewel Hart, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, relatives, neighbors, and friends.
