Carl M.  Vanhuse
Carl Milton VanHuse, was born on February 22, 1939 to Anna and the late LeRoy VanHuse, Sr. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Carl attended Robertson High School in Robertson Township, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, graduating 1956. In high school, he was on the debate team and was an all American football player. He received a full athletic scholarship and attended the University of Colorado, Denver, were he aspired to be a lawyer.

After leaving college Carl was employed with American Bridge Company in Pittsburgh, Pa.

At he age of 21, Carl moved from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to New York City.

He worked and retired from the Otis Elevator Company in Brooklyn New York, after greater than 20 years of service. He work for the Ultimate Display Company, after retirement.

Carl met and married Martha Gadsden while living in Brooklyn, New York. They had two children, LaMar and Nicole. From a previous marriage, Carl had a daughter, the late Dotty VanHuse-Hannah, who proceeded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, LaMar (daughter-in-law Tasha) and Nicole (son-in-law Daniel); 1 stepson Eric; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother Ronald VanHuse; his sister Cherie Kennison (brother-in-law Stanford Kennison); ; sister-in-law Venice VanHuse, and Aunt Vandia Webster, and a host of other nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers LeRoy VanHuse, Jr. and Roderick (“Roger/Rog “) Allen VanHuse.
