Obituary for Marion Peay

Marion Peay was born on July 31, 1925 in Chester, South Carolina to the late Maime and James Peay. Marion attended Public School in Chester, SC. He was the fourth child of nine siblings.
Marion relocated to New York in 1956, where he worked as a cook for Queens Borough Community College until his retirement in 1984.
During his retirement, Marion enjoyed traveling South to visit family and friends. He did not form a union nor have any children.
Marion was a proud member of the Archer Avenue Senior Citizens Center. He enjoyed meeting new people, making others laugh and participate in the Center’s festivities. He also enjoyed playing his peers in Gin Rummy and Dominoes.
Marion leaves to mourn his beloved sister Naomi Williams of Jamaica, NY. A host of nieces, nephews, Great-nieces, Great-nephews and relatives. He was truly loved by his family and will be missed dearly for his generosity, kind heart and easy going personality.


From his sister, Naomi: He will be missed very much. He will give you the shirt off his back. Love you Marion RIP. You will Always be in my heart, until we meet again. I love you Marion.
