Obituary for Willie Henry "Willie Hamp" Hankerson
H enry Hankerson was born February 28, 1934 in Aiken, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Pervis William and Jannie Bell Hankerson. Both parents preceded him in death. Willie grew up in Aiken South, Carolina where he attended school and later left to join the Army
Willie served in the Korean war after the war Willie return to Aiken South Carolina where he met and married the late Elise Samuel Hankerson in through this union they had five children one son and four daughters
Willie work for Blackwell moving company that he work for until the time he took ill Willie had a caring soul which was known to everyone he knew. He enjoyed watching cowboy movies and game shows on television before passing away Willie gave his life to Christ Willie will be missed by his family and friends.
He leaves to join his son the late Willie Hankerson, Jr. He leaves to mourn his children Judyann Hankerson Daley, Pauline Hankerson Bennett (Cornell), Catherine Hankerson, Linda Hankerson Brown. Willie later moved on and thru another union mother the late Sara he had three more children; one son Darren Hankerson; two daughters Jenevice Hankerson; and the late Wanda Hankerson Langley; one sister Gwendolyn Gray; two sisters-in-law Adella Johnson Sherryann Jones (Amos) Seventeen Grandchildren James, Theresa, Lashawn, Kevin (Sheila), Katrina, Akiva, Liza, Monica (James), Tony (Tameko), Willie, Johnell (Shelby), Vernita, Shawn, Damian, Tabatha, Latavia and Dante; Twenty eight Great-Grandchildren and four Great-Great-Grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews cousins and friends.
