Obituary for Tomel "Tommy" Goodson

Tomels “Tommy” Goodson was born September 9, 1944 Alabama to Johnny and Lilly Goodson who both proceed him death. Tommy was the third youngest of eight children. Tommy accepted the lord at a very young age in Alabama. He transition his life on October 19,2017, with family by his side.
Tommy relocated to New York in or around the age of 19. Spent the majority of his employment as a maintenance technician for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. One of his favorite past times was fishing and working on cars. Tommy was loyal, hardworking, caring, outspoken, stylish, charismatic, and passionate. Tommy loved to enjoy life. He was stern but fair and an advocate for education. He was affectionally known as “Poppa” by his host of grandchildren. Tommy always gave words of encouragement and wisdom, he was protector and provider to all of his family and friends.
Tommy leaves to cherish his memory; wife Mary Goodson, siblings Lilly, Jessie, Calvin, James and Jimmy; children Tracey, Christina, Sanice, and Glenda; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
