Obituary for Betty C Pasley

Betty C. Pasley was born December 6, 1941 in Elizabeth City, NC to her mother Deaconess Mary
Thelma (Grandy) Pasley and Father Deacon Louis E. Pasley. As a young girl she grew up in Jamaica Queens, NY. Betty was raised to be a God-‐fearing woman and started singing in the group The Three Keys at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Shimer JHS and Andrew Jackson HS then moved to Brooklyn NY to pursue a nursing career becoming a licensed practical nurse working at several hospitals around NYC. Several years after retiring Betty relocated to Jackson, NJ where she enjoyed being involved in her grandchildren’s lives. Betty would do anything for them. If she wasn’t on the phone or watching the latest movies she was riding all over NY/NJ with her friends and main road dawg Lil Ricky. If you knew her you knew that she was a very persistent woman. Over the 75 years of her life, I’m sure that you can recall a lot of moments that will remind you of a story, an experience or a memory about her. Hearing her say things like “I can show you better than I can tell you”, “you have not because you ask not”, “Hello” and “Finished!!!” Also, if you never met him personally we all knew Frank. So, even though she is no longer here we will always have these things to remind us of her.

Over the past 8 months she battled with her illness and many complications until she succumbed to them on November 10, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her parents Deacon & Deaconess Pasley, Daughter Kelita Pasley-‐Conyer and Son in-‐law Christopher Ernst. Betty is survived by her brother Lawrence Pasley, Sister in-‐law Bessie Pasley, Daughters Kristina Lowe, Annette Pasley, Son in-‐law Robert McCrorey Grandchildren: Richard Lowe Jr., Donald Conyer Jr., Christopher Lowe, Kenneth Pasley, Ashely Lowe, her best friend/sister Delores Ledwidge, her Aunt Evelyn Palmer, Nephews Lawrence Pasley Jr. and Derrick Pasley, Niece Petra Pasley and a host of extended family & friends.
