Charles Earl "Chuck or Chuckie" Dixon Jr.
Charles Earl Dixon, Jr., known as “Chuck” or “Chuckie” to his friends, was born to Charles Earl Dixon, Sr. and Clyde Lois Marshall Dixon in Brooklyn, New York on March 8, 1956. He resided in Brooklyn with his parents until they moved to South Ozone Park, Jamaica, NY in 1962. It was there he attended St. Clement Pope School for the first eight years of his education. He later attended Archbishop Molloy High School and graduated in 1974. He went on to attend Howard University in Washington D.C. and graduated in May of 1978.
Charles remained in Washington, D.C. after graduating from college for over thirty years. He initially obtained a job with the military, but later sold insurance in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia area. He also had his own very lucrative income tax business. He was married twice in his life, but had no children. He spent time with his family in New York whenever he was able to do so. He was an avid reader and researcher of various topics and loved to watch football. He was a mentor to many young men during his life and always offered great advice and life lessons.
He came back to live in New York in 2012. Soon thereafter, he moved back to his childhood home on 145th Street to help care for his aging father. His father preceded him in death in July 2017 and his mother in January 2011.
Charles is survived by his sister, Sybrina Dixon-Richardson, brother-in-law, William Richardson, niece, Shakara Richardson and nephew, Brent Richardson. He also leaves to mourn him, his very dear friend since childhood, Fred Bulah, and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
