Nora Lee McNair was born in Newport News, VA to the late Portia Whittington McNair and Dewey McNair on August 9, 1950. Nora was educated in North Carolina and at a young age, moved to Jamaica, NY to live with her Aunt, Louis Pompey (deceased).

After completing her education, Nora went to work at Weksler Instrument Company for 30+ years.

Nora helped raise many of her younger cousins, she was very devoted to family. Along with a love for family, Nora loved many other things, like shopping for clothes & shoes along with cooking and especially talking to family & friends on the phone.

She is survived by her daughter, Jasmine M. McNair, granddaughter Sariya of Jamaica, NY and a sister, Anne Brown of Greensboro, NC, and a whole host of family and friends.
