Our beloved Margaret Eloise Smith was born to the late Margaret Cowan and Herbert Anderson on April 13, 1933 in Windsor, North Carolina.
Margaret attended the Windsor School system until she came to New York in 1960.
Margaret started working for Rockaway Home Care Services in 1980.
Margaret was a very active member of Bethel A.M.E. Church until she started caring for her ailing mother. She had a love for playing B.I.N.G.O.
Margaret lived in Far Rockaway from the late 60’s until she departed this life on March 23rd, 2018.
Margaret was proceeded in death by: her parents Margaret Cowan, Herbert Anderson, her husband Louis J. Smith, 1 brother Jasper L. Cowan, 2 nieces Patricia, Janice, 1 nephew Nathaniel, and 1 grandson Marcus.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memory 1 daughter, Barbara Singleton, 2 Godsons Carl Hendricks, Robert Pugh, 1 granddaughter Lashawanda (Jason) 1 grandson Two (Shantelle) 2 nieces Katherine, and Gale, 3 nephews James, Frankie, Milton” A very special niece Mildred who cared for her until she departed this earth. Also a host of great grands, nieces, cousins, and friends.
