On March 20, 1970, Tanwya James was born to the late Eugene (Ludy) Hill and Ethel Marie James.

The Life

As a young girl, Tanwya was educated in Queens, New York Public School System. She loved to dance, enjoyed music, shopping and appearing glamorous. Tanwya was a very loving and generous person with a great sense of humor. She was employed as a Home Health Aide for many years.

Sunset

On Tuesday, April 3, 2018, God called our beloved Tanwya’s name and she answered.

The Family

Tanwya was proceeded in death by Alan Stevenson. Leaving to cherish her loving memories is her mother Ethel Marie Jefferson; children Cheyenne, Akil, Zakia an Alana; grandson Akil Jr.; sisters and brothers; Rome, Rodney, Raulin, Ramona, Dawn (Justin) and Lorraine (Artis); uncles and aunts; Mary Louise White, Benny James Jr. (Dawn), Jonathan James, Sylvia Nadine James-Logan (Roosevelt), John Thomas, Walter Hill, Celia Banks, Archie Thomas, Danny Hill and Linda Hill. A best friend Lisa. Special friends Frank, Debbie and Christina along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
