Obituary for Sis. Azalee Brown

Sis. Azalee  Brown
Mrs. Azalee Brown was born on January 23, 1937 in South Carolina. She was the second child of six to Mr. Sylvester and Laura Coleman.

She went to Public School in South Carolina where she met and married Mr. William Beverly Brown. Out of their union they had three children, William, David and Angela Brown.

They moved to New York City where Mrs. Azalee Brown was employed by the New York City Public School System where she worked her way up from being a cook to Supervisor. She maintained her position for over thirty years until her retirement.

Mrs. Brown loved her church, Mt Zion Baptist Church where maintained membership for over thirty years. She love being a Missionary, working with the Mission Outreach, and serving in the Mt Zion Soup Kitchen.

Mrs. Brown loved being busy with her family. She enjoyed going on trips, mainly cruises and of course her love for cooking and baking.

Those who preceded her in death were her husband William Brown and two of her children, David Brown and Angela Patterson. Her siblings, Sylvester, John, David and Frank Coleman.

She leaves to celebrate her life her sister Mrs. Nadine Drehur (Ronald), her son William Brown(Marsha), her grandchildren William, Joanne, Derek Brown and Richard Patterson. A host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
