Ramona was born on May 7, 1957 in Harlem, New York to the late Adelle Johnson and Orbie Lee Johnson.

Ramona and her family moved to Queens, New York there she met and married Stephen Brown. To this union were one daughter LaKeisha Brown-Wallace. Ramona attended Andrew Jackson High School and later on decided to further her education in the health field.

Ramona became a certified Phlebotomist and certified Nursing Assistant before relocating to Hampton Virginia she worked at Life’s WORC, PSCH, and AHRC as a Direct Care Counselor.

Ramona was known for her bittersweet tongue she offered her opinion always, she had a zest for life, she loved knitting, making baskets, singing and joking around.

After a long battle with a chronic illness, Ramona departed this life on Wednesday May 30, 2018. Ramona’s mother, father, brother, sister and first-husband proceeded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Lakeisha Brown-Wallace, her granddaughter Taylor Wallace (Yani) sisters, Valerie Starks, Victoria Johnson, Laverne Johnson sister-in-law Stacey Johnson brothers, Kenneth Johnson, Keith Johnson and Michael Starks (Linda Hampton Starks). Uncle Jimmy Irving, Nieces, Jamyce Steele, Orvetta Johnson, Renee Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Alease Silvera (Mark), Tanika Blair Janel Blair, nephews, Victor Johnson, Shaleek Blair. A host of great nephews, great nieces, and great great nieces.
