Obituary for Charlie White, Jr.

Charles White Jr. was born on June 24th, 1945 in Mullens, South Carolina to Charles White Sr. and Hattie Faison. He attended Palmella Junior High School. Some time later, Charlie attended a trade school for upholstery where he excelled in his trade. In fact, he was known for his outstanding craftsmanship skills.

When he was only 12 years old, Charlie’s father passed away. Shortly thereafter, his family relocated to New York. In 1967, Charlie met Mary Torbert. On November 15th, 1969 they were married. He proved to be a hardworking husband and father.

Charlie had a deep love for God’s Word, the Bible. After learning Bible truths, Charlie dedicated his life to Jehovah God which he publicly declared by water baptism on June 27th, 1987. As a Jehovah’s Witness, Charlie genuinely enjoyed the house-to-house ministry whereby he shared Bible truths with others. He faithfully served Jehovah for 31 years and took much comfort in the Bible’s promise of an earthly resurrection. (John 5:28, 29)

Charlie had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing Kingdom Songs. He was known for being kind, generous and loving. He had the a reputation of looking out for the interests of others before himself. He had a good sense of humor and maintained a positive, optimistic outlook in life.

Charlie White Jr. is survived by Mary whom he was married to for 49 years and seven surviving children: Tank, Lisa, Melissa, Janet, Lamont, Kisha and Sean; Marian (sister); Cain (brother) and a host of nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
