Obituary for Ann Brown

Ann Lorraine Brown, the daughter of the late Arthuree and Harold Brown, was born in Harlem, New York on September 13, 1937. The family later located to South Ozone Park, NY in the 1950's where Ann resided until her death on June 29, 2018.

She was one of three children. Her brothers Harold Jr., and Rowland preceded her in death as did her parents.

She graduated from Julia Richman High School in Manhattan and for 35 years was a dedicated and loyal employee of New York Telephone Company now known as Verizon.

She often attended Community Baptist Church in South Ozone Park with her mother. Ann loved going to the casinos with friends. She also loved her game shows — most of us knew not to call her while her game shows were on. She was also an avid lover of music. Two of her favorite artists were Johnny Mathis and Little Anthony and the Imperials.

She leaves to mourn her passing; a loving and caring cousin, Arthur J. Rivers, III; a devoted lifelong friend Rosalind Petry; as well as her friend Earl Simmons: loving and caring godsons, Terrence and Tyrone Paulin and their loving wives Sharlene and Jessica, who patiently loved her, along with a host of relatives and loving friends.

Ann's spirit has been reunited with her loving family where they now reside in the House of the Lord.
