Obituary for Louis A Colon, Sr.

Louis Alfredo Colon Sr. was born on October 25, 1946 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to the late Louis and Maria Colon.
He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on February 18, 1966 and served in Vietnam. He proudly served his country until February 17, 1972 in order to have a family of his own. Proceeding his military service, he married and was blessed with two children: Tunisia Colon, born August 14, 1975, and Louis A. Colon Jr., born January 31, 1987. He was employed by United Parcel Services (UPS) and retired after 28 years.
He met the love of his life, Michelle Madden in August of 2000, and was remarried in 2003. He joined Merrick Park Baptist Church and served as an Usher. Louis loved to travel and experience new adventures with his wife Michelle while keeping in touch with his family and friends. He possessed a heart of gold, a rare thing in these changing times, was loved by his friends and his community and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Louis is survived by his wife, Michelle Madden-Colon; his two children, Louis Alfredo Colon Jr. of Jamaica, NY, and Tunisia Cielo of Palm Beach, Florida; his son-in-law, Shawn Cielo of Palm Beach, FL; his grandchildren Angeni Cielo and Santino Cielo; his step-son, Michael Madden of Jamaica, NY; his sister, Miriam Colon of Bronx, NY; his nephew, Nelson Adorno of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Nelson’s children Kayla Rae Adorno and Madyson Adorno; his niece, Jamie Pellerano of New York, and Jamie’s newborn, Caleb Pellerano. Louis is proceeded in his return to glory by his parents, his sister, Rae Colon and his nephew, Adam Cadiz.
Louis A Colon will truly be missed but surely never forgotten.
