Edward Eason, 77, passed away on the 29th of November 2018 at Jamaica Hospital Hospice in Jamaica, New York after suffering from a cardiac arrest.

Edward was born on 01st of April, 1941, in Gatesville, North Carolina to Rosa Lee (proceeded in death) and Herman Jordan (proceeded in death). He was educated in the Gatesville North Carolina educational school system. In his early 20’s he moved to New York. Edward had a variety of skills, some through professional training and others that were innate. He was a licensed mechanic, a carpenter, NYC Sanitation worker, cook, and a school bus driver with Mountainside Bus Company which is where in retired from in 2013.
His wife, Mary Carter Eason, whom he shared his life with for over 40 years was his primary caretaker for the last couple of years. In their household they raised the youngest three of their nine children. Edward, had many alias given to him by family and friends whom he had greatly impacted their lives, Ed, Eddie, Eason, Gooney, Big Man, Big Daddy, Crazy Man, Mo Money, Putunya, and Ghost just to name a few. The best words to describe Edward is FAIR and LOVE. There was no situation, big or small, that was brought to him that he couldn’t and didn’t handle. He made you feel comforted, valued, and LOVED.
Edward took pride in being a provider. He provided for his wife, children, family, and friends. He worked extremely hard his entire life. Edward also knew how to enjoy life and always looked good doing it. He was a SHARP dresser, loved to party, vacation, loved a nice looking vehicle, and most of all he loved his casinos. If you ever went with him to a casino, you had to be prepared to stay the entire day and night.

Edward is survived by his loving wife, family, and a host of friends.
Edward leaves to mourn the following:
Children- Vanessa, Edward Jr. (Felicia), Lisa (Roy), Kim, Shareen, Fiamma (Shawn), and Michael. Edwards sons Jamaine and Kenneth proceeded him in death.
Siblings- Joyce Roy (Leon) and Ruby. Edwards brother James and sister Mary proceeded him in death.
Grand and Great Grand Children- Edward had 28 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank everyone for all the love and support they've shown over the past couple of weeks. The visits, phone calls, and prayers have been well received, provided this family with a sense of comfort, and was a true testament to how magnificent a person Edward was. He has left this world and will join all his other loved ones in heaven. He and his casino buddies will once again be together.

Thank you,
The Family
