William Edward Valentine was born to the late William & Beatrice Valentine on March 31, 1937 in Edenton. North Carolina. He was the second oldest of nine children.

William attended White Oaks School District to the 8th grade. After which he joined White Oaks Church. William was a very strong minded man, at the age of 16 he joined the army where he served his country for six years & was honorably discharged.

William was a hard working man he worked for Burlington Air Express for 35 years as a truck driver. Driving was a great passion of his along with smoking his pipe. Everywhere he went his pipe was on him. William was a loving man & was loved by everyone.

On Thursday February 25,2010 he was called home by our heavenly father Jesus Christ. William will be missed by many. He leaves to cherish his fond memories his beautiful wife of 13 years who was by his side though it all. His children (William Jr. Lonnie. Rick, Jerry, Micheal, Emma, Portia, Alonzo, Douglas, Rosalinde, Rogerick. & Micheal, Sixty eight Grandchildren, Sixteen Great Grandchildren, Two goddaughters (Kadisha, & Deona). Three Brother's Fllovd (Yvonne), Clifton(Gcorgia), & Charlie (Susie). One Brother preceded him in death Willie (Pat) Valentine. Four sister's Elsie, Betty, Mary (Sam), & Fannie (William). Two Aunts (Elizabeth). & Rosa). And a host of Niece's,nephews, and friend's. Delores Wanted to thank all the people that stood by William side though it all. She wants to thank Rosalinde, Natasha. William. Joseph. Erika. Portia, Tara, & Peggy for helping her take care William. and never turning your backs on him even when times got hard. Thank You.
