Nettie Lee aka Maryann was born on December 28th 1943 in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents Wortlee and Mary Crubbbrest; becoming the second of five siblings.
Raised in Southside Jamaica Queens; she obtained her education through the New York City Department of Education; where she attended Woodrow Wilson Highschool, now known as August Martin H.S.. Maryann continued her educational growth when she participated in night classes for a Beauty Academy; helping her become the vibrant and skilled individual we had the pleasure of loving and knowing.
Maryann loved many things in her long life, fashion design, cooking, working hard and earning a fruitful living, and above all her family. Maryann got to experiences love twice in her life; these relationships would lead to creation of her most cherished gifts.

In the 1960’s Maryann met one Robert Leary. Their union would lead to the birth of her loving daughter Robin Yvette Leary on May 26, 1963. Sometime after she would meet Willie Beauford. Their union would lead to her adoring son Willie James Beauford Jr born November 15, 1964, and her baby boy Keith Angel Beauford (deceased) Born August 5, 1966. The two of them would raise their three children in the same area she called home in Southside Jamaica, until they moved to Far Rockaway Queens.
Beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother great grandmother Maryann held many titles in her life. Her love and memory will be forever cherished by her mother Mary Crubbrest; her children Robin Leary, Willie Beauford Jr., Keith Angel Beauford (In spirit); her grandchildren, Antoine Beauford, Laquell Brown, Ayanna Beauford, Willie Beauford III, Wilaysia Beauford, great grandchildren Brooks and Brylee Beauford; siblings Hattie Hopkins (in spirit), Carol Privott, Wortlee Crubbrest Jr. ( in spirit), Barbrann Crubbrest. Eight addition brothers and sisters from another union, Helen Molsey, Martha Gibson, Rosa May Culbreath, Berniece Culbreath, Shirley Culbreath, Freddie Lee Culbreath, Wallace Culbreath (in spirit), and Brenda Johnson; lastly she leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
Maryann became the standard for what it means to live your life, interacting with family and friends, Maryann never missed a chance to show you the moves she mastered on the dance floor, she never missed the chance to impart her wisdom in your time of need, and she never hesitated to express her love for her family.
