Dear family, we are sad for your recent loss. Ms. Fay’s life impacted many people, and her nursing career greatly helped many. The death of a loved one is difficult, continue to lean on God, friends and family. God will always give you comfort, as found in the Bible at (2Cor 1:3-4). He will soon take away death (1Cor 15:26), and he will soon return our loved ones by way of the resurrection (John 5:28-29). Please search the article “When someone you love dies”, at JW.org it greatly helped us through a difficult time and we hope it can help you to gain some comfort.

It was a privilege to have known Ms. Faye. I met her briefly at Dane's (her nephew) wedding years ago. During my teenage years I was in close quarters with her sister Monica and family, her daughter Nicole with kids (twins Ryan & Rachel whom I had the pleasure of babysitting for about a year) I've spoken to her briefly over the phone and heard good things about her in regards to how much she loved her family. I interacted with Ms. Faye years later (around 2010) in person, as she helped kick start my Nursing career at Hempstead Park Nursing Home, as she was the Director of Nursing (DON) there. She was pleasant, warm, and made me feel comfortable. She glowed with the love of life and love for God. She will be dearly missed.

This tribute is from Alva Small. Like a book that is being read by its cover, so were you read, by some. These such readers, never did find out the real contents of your pages. If they did, they would have found out the real you. A woman with a heart of gold, expressed in ways of compassion and kindness, one who would defend the weak and the vulnerable. I am blessed to have had you for a friend for over 40 years. You have shown me what true friendship looks like. We have lived together, ate together, had fun together and fellowshipped together. We even had our little quarrels, but we did what good friends do, forgive, forget and move on. I thank you friend for all the kindness you did show to me and my children. This scene I will always remember, you and your many nieces and nephews coming up the hill to my house and each bringing a pan of water for me, and for that basket of roses you gave to me, while telling me that I deserved it. I have kept these memories for many years, and will for years to come. You have shown us how to unite, love and care for family. You did this very well. Thank you for the Rose that you were, and for the fragrance you have left behind. Miss you my friend - Rest in Peace Alva
