Obituary for Veronica Dent

Veronica Dent affectionately known as “Cookie” age 66 of Jamaica Queens, has completed her
mission on earth and was called home on May 11th, 2020. Cookie had a long period of suffering
but then the man upstairs decided it was time for her to come home.

Cookie was born on June
8th, 1953 to the late Bennie Sr. and Mary Dent. Cookie was the third oldest of 10 siblings.She
will now join her 3 deceased siblings 1 sister Rene Fowler, 2 brothers Bennie Dent Jr. and
Dennis Dent. She was born in Brownsville Brooklyn where she attended Clara Barton high
school.

She eventually moved to Queens and made a life for herself there. She also met and
married the love of her life, the late Thomas Clarkson and out of that union they had two
children Latoyra and Rondell Clarkson. Cookie was known by many to have a big and caring
heart. She would help anyone who needed it.

She enjoyed cooking and would open her home to everyone.Cookie loved spending time with her family. She was stern and honest and loved by many for that. Cookie was well known in any community she lived in. She helped service food to many families in the community for many, many years. Cookie is survived by her children Latoyra and Rondell, 5 step children Elaine,Gloria, Anthony, Llyod, and Theodus Clarkson, 3
adopted children, Kelaisha, Kyran, and Kaliphe Williams, Two sisters Denise Robinson, and
Antoniette Dent, Four brothers Daryll, Tidas, Edward and Kevin Dent, Two grandchildren Naylani Mclaughlin and Justin Jean-Louis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

She now joins her missed loved ones in the kingdom of heaven, SHE IS HOME!
