Obituary for Malcolm Winston Barrow

Malcolm Winston Barrow was born in Guyana, South America to the parents of James Barrow & Johanna Glasgow. He was the husband of Yvonne Barrow nee Congreaves, and a father of five. He attended Kingston Methodist School, worked at the Ministry of Health and Guyana Lithographic, a member of the Guyana Volunteer Force, a Cricket umpire, and a champion long-distance runner. An overall lover of sports. Since coming to America in 1995 he worked as a baggage handler and a security guard at JFK airport.

Malcolm survived by his wife Yvonne of 58 years. Their children; Colin, Mark, Michelle, Raymond & Ronald. He was known by his 12 grands; Melissa, Colleen, Collette, Travis, Anthony, Tonasha, Malika, Colin Jr, Ranasha, Romona, Collita & Emmanuel and 5 great grands; Jayceon, Deanna, Nikolai, Olivia, and Janae as “Papa.” Brother to Olga Prass, Averil Barrow and the late Gloria & Dolly Barrow. Father-in-law of Reginald Elgin, Lavern Barrow and Amanda Barrow. Uncle of Donald, Lennox, Royston, Ecliffe, Sandra, Linden, Michelle, Dwayne, Debbie, Inez & others. Brother-in-law of Egbert Congreaves, the late Sydney, Kenneth Congreaves, Sinclaire Prass & Joyce Mussenden. Son-in-law of the late William Congreaves. Friend of Thomas Matheson, Winston Walcott, Lall Sooknandan, the Arthurs, and the Corts.
