Obituary for Marcella Allgood
It is with a broken hearts that the family of Marcella Allgood announce her being called home to be with her Lord on March 2, 2021.
Marcella was born in Chattanooga Tennessee on September 23,1934 to James and Geneva Gilbert. She moved to Jamaica NY in the early1960’s. Marcella compassionate and caring spirit serviced her well in her career as a home healthcare provider.
Marcella devoted her life and service to our Lord. She was very active member the Community Church of Christ, were she serviced as a Mother and Soup Kitchen volunteer. She will be greatly missed by her Church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents James & Geneva, her beloved husband Emmett, sons, Anthony Gilbert & Clayton Allgood. Her siblings Dorothile, Jimmy, John, Leroy, James, Jackie, & Anna and her grandchild Monique
Marcella also leaves, to cherish her memory, sons Emmett Allgood, Byron Allgood and his wife Robin as well as Daughter in Law Jacqueline Allgood. Siblings Joyce, Larry, Sandra & Samuel.
In addition to her sons & siblings she leaves her beloved grandchildren, Tony, Holly, Brandy, Kayla, Keisha, Shameek, Emmett, Heavenly, Christina, Malcom, Nicholas, Ryan & Corey. Several great grand children and a host of cousins and dear friends.
