Obituary for Richard Leo Francis
Richard Leo Francis born September 22, 1958 in St. Joseph, Barbados, Son of the late McClendon Leo Francis and Yvonne Coreen Headley.
GOD lifted Richard into HIS bosom on January 2, 2022.
Richard left Barbados in his teens and settled in Brooklyn, New York. He attended George Westinghouse High School where he excelled in mathematics.
He graduated and became gainfully employed.
Richard met Cheryl Ann Williams in 1979 and on March 18th, 1980 he took her as his wife. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force and served 2 tours of duty as an Aircraft Electrician at Reese Air force Base in Lubbock, Texas.
He also became a citizen of the United States while enlisted. He was brilliant at his job and he enjoyed it very much. Upon leaving the service he returned to New York with his wife and son Derek.
He soon became employed as an Electrician with Amtrak Railroad.
Here to rejoice and keep his memory alive is his wife, Cheryl, 3 sons, Derek, Ishmael and Elijah, 3 grandsons, Derrick, Shokwan and Antoine, 2 great granddaughters, O'livia and Keylani, his mother Yvonne, 3 sisters, Pat, Cheriece and Diane, 1 brother, Demitri and a host of aunts and cousins.
Richard My Love I thank GOD for you. I thank GOD for returning you home to me. You were gentle, kind, loving and you were an exceptional Man, Husband and Father. The children and I will always keep your memory alive to one another and to our future generations to come and your love will always burns within the depths of my very soul. Still waters run deep. Rest MY KING.
