Cecil Constantine Blackford “Bigga / Size†was born in Port Maria St Mary, Jamaica in the West Indies on March 7, 1936 to the late Adalphus and Mazie Blackford, he was the third of five siblings. He departed this life June 9,2014 at 3.15am.
Cecil Blackford was from the district of Hamilton Mountain in Oracabessa St Mary where he had a passion for the Automotive industry, he then had the opportunity of going on the farmwork program in the United States to generate funds after which he returned to Jamaica his home country to learn the trade of being an automotive mechanic.
After years of him developing the acquired skills of the mechanic trade he moved on to opening his own business in the same field he had mastered in the City of Ocho Rios in St Ann, he had taken on a name and gained quite a fame in this business, he was well known for his skills, Cecil Blackford was one of the best mechanics you could ever find.
Cecil Blackford reentered the United States in the late 1990’s where he continued his trade working in a local Automotive shop in Queens NY, after a few years while practicing the same skills he got really ill with Diabetes but he still had the determination and will to go on practicing his trade but finally had to give it up but was occasionally called on for advise from friends about certain jobs and he was quite able to give the best advise about completing a task on a certain challenging jobs.
In his life he made lots of friends, he made lots of people very happy, and was well known for his Courage, Strength, Skills, Determination and his Size.
Cecil Blackford leaves to cherish his life and mourn his passing, 9 children, Oral Blackford, Burchelle Blackford, Marjorie Blackford, Oren Blackford, Sharon Blackford, Lorna Blackford, Andrew Blackford, O'Neil Blackford and Keneisha Blackford, thirteen grandchildren Nicholas, Chevaughn, Deandre, Andrew Junior, Alexia,Breana, Abrena, Akeila, Alyssa, Aidan,Francesca, Delano
