Annie Mildred Felder was born June 2, 1935 in Durham, North Carolina to the late David and Laura Felder. She was the third of four children: Gladys Mae Felder, Daisey Lee Bridges and David Felder Jr. All her sisters and brother have predeceased her.
Annie graduated from Hillside High School in Durham where she met and married her first love, Thomas Rufus White. From that union Theressa Ann White was born.
After relocating to New York, Annie Mildred met and married Reuben Eugene Johnson and from that union Darryl Eugene Johnson was born. The Johnson family became members of Calvary Baptist church in the late 60’s. Annie Johnson joined the Usher Board where she served faithfully for thirty-five years. For the past seven years she strongly supported her daughter at Gospel of the Kingdom International Ministries.
Annie Johnson worked for the New York City Department of Human Resources for some twenty-five years where she was a case manager. While working for Human Resources Ann returned to school and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Queens College, Flushing ,NY. After retiring from the city she began to work for the Federal Government at the Veterans Hospital in Saint Albans, New York until her health no longer allowed her to do so, and her son Darryl became her full time care taker.
Annie Mildred Felder White Johnson believed in living her life. She loved to travel, she loved people, she loved to entertain and to be entertained. She loved helping people and would do almost anything for her family. She also loved to play bid wiz and bridge. She was a member of The Cosmopolitan Duplicate Bridge Club for fifteen years.
Annie leaves to cherish her life and mourn her passing: 1 daughter: Pastor Theressa Allen, 1 son: Darryl Eugene Johnson, 1 grandson: Donald Allen Jr., 1 granddaughter: Ebony Johnson, 3 great granddaughters: Victoria Catherine Allen, Alexandria B Allen & Iyanna Chasity Humphreys, 2 nephews: Robert Felder & Tiffany Felder, 1 niece: Patricia Ann Jones, 2 great nieces, 1 great nephew, 2 great great nieces and 1 great great nephew and a host of family and friends.
