Alfred Jacques- Andre Mehu was born July 17, 1960 in Port Au Prince Haiti, an only child born to Andre and Jeannette Mehu who are now sadly deceased.
Alfred was affectionately known as "Andy" and "One Candle" by his childhood friends. Andy loved cars, music, and dancing. He was happy when he was driving his Honda through the boroughs listening to his music. Andy was always ready to help out his family and friends.
The highlight of his life was when he met Veronica or Ronnie as he called her. They built a life together and he helped to raise her son Rashon like his own who affectionately called him "Pop': They were now his family. He loved Ronnie and Rashon with his whole heart and that love was reciprocated. Andy thought it couldn't get any better because after 16 years together they decided to legalize their union in the eyes of God. They were married on January 31, 2014. Andy was ecstatic! (I think he was more excited than the bride.) Through this union Andy was now a part of a bigger family... whom he loved and so do we.
Shortly thereafter he was diagnosed with cancer. This news although devastating to him and his family, he said "I'm not going down without a fight!" and fight he did to the end. Andy lost his battle on November 7, 2015.) He leaves behind his wife Veronica, son Rashon and Carmen, Granddaughter Madison and her mother Carla, Sister-in-laws: Reginna and Renee. Brother-in-laws: Vincent and William. Nephews: Anthony, Nakhi, and Jayden. Niece: Nyasia, Cousins: Althea, Dianna and her husband Everton, Aunt Dedee, and Cousin Raynold Muzac and a host of family and friends. Alfred "Andy" Mehu will be sorely missed. Thanks to Jehovah God we have the hope of the Resurrection. Acts24:15 says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. In John 5:28 Jesus Christ tells us that all those in the memorial tombs hearing his voice will come out.
Andy we will see you in Paradise.
