Obituary for Wilhelmena Vann

Wilhelmena Vann
Wilhelmena was born to the late Enson Benjamin and Ida Mae Key on January 2,
1937 in Long Island New York. Affectionately known as Mama, She was called home
on January 13, 2014

She attended high school in Rockville Center. On June 3, 1968 Mama began
working for North Shore University Hospital, she would continue there until
February 1, 2002. Mama was a supervisor there and had a true passion for her
work. She also enjoyed softball and bowling, both of which she received many
trophies in because that's how good she was. Later on in her life after she met
up with two of her closest friends, Marion and Leftki also known as Bianca, she
developed an intense enjoyment for bingo.

She is survived by her sons Vernon, big and little. Her siblings Eula Mae,
Larry, Cathy, Debra, and Regina. Nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and
for a few in particular cared for as though they were her own. Two great
grandchildren, Alexa and Breyonna who until this day call her Miss Vann because
she was not fond of the term grandma.

There were countless friends who are too numerous to name but to each and
everyone of you, I am grateful that you were in her life.
